2016 is Coming To a Close

 

2016 is coming to a close; many things we've had to overcome in this year. Disappointments, sickness, transitioning of love ones and friends. There's been pain and joy. However, in this moment I would like to address the soul in each of us. That very special part of you; it is what connects us all here on earth. It teaches us to love each other, to show each other kindness.

 

 

The soul doesn't have a color or sex. It helps us to feel when a love one is no longer here with us, and reminds us why they were and how they touched our lives for the better.

 

 

I'm simply asking that each of my friends and my family to be gentle with yourself as we approach this holiday season. Be kind and gentle to your soul; others will take notice. Look around and see the beauty of this planet that was created for you.

 

 

Notice the air in your body, and a trees that has changed. Feel your heart beating, knowing that others hearts are beating as well. You may have to forgive someone who has injured you. Ask God to turn your worries into faith. Your despair into hope. Your sadness into joy.

 

 

It is because of God's love and kindness for each soul; no matter how 2016 is remembered each soul can give thanks.

Think of  your body as a river.
Water is flowing around each pebble.
Each pebble in your river has a name.

She (Wisdom) ask, what pebbles would you like to remain in you (the river)?

Unforgiving, hate, bitterness and sadness 
Poverty, foolishness, unwise and revenge
Lies, untrustworthy, stealing and anger
Laziness, confusion, deceiving and sickness
Lust, greed, pride and jealousy and worry

Love, joy, happiness and peace
Prosperity, generosity, health and compassion
Kindness, patient, trust and hope
Giving, integrity, forgiveness and humility and peace

How will you answer?

What will your river look like as the water flows over each pebble?

Emotional Bully

How are you showing the love of God daily? Please don’t be an emotional bully, get the help you need. Life is too short. You are to give love and respect and you are to receive love and respect daily. The emotional bully uses their emotions to get what they want not realizing they are deceived and disobedience to Mark 12:31 “The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

YOU A HYPOCRITE?

IF SOME CALL YOU A HYPOCRITE; WOULD YOU LOVE THEM OR ASK YOUR SELF WHY? Denying the trouble(s) in your life will never fix it. However, just as the good comes; we can learn from the trouble(s) that comes. By accepting it and we get to ask questions like: What is the lesson(s) in this? How can I change for the better? Did this come to mature me? Whatever you do; do not miss the lesson. Jesus said: “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.” Matthew 7:5 This is one of greatest expression of love; because we get to see and feel what you do. WAVE ON

The wave cannot separate from the ocean. It may take on different forms, but it is still the ocean. It may try to separate, but the ocean pulls it into its stillness. Are you having waves of emotional issues? Maybe you are trying to fix something(s) only God can fix? Know that in the stillness of God's love, grace pulls us in the miracles of God's stillness -- you must let go, and be still. Allow God to carry you; you are created in his image. WHATEVER?

Negative thinking creates negative problems. Are you using the same type of thinking to get you out of the problems? We get oil changes, we change out shoes and we change cell phones. Maybe it's time to change those negative problems? Expressing: Whatever thinking got you into the problem, do not use it to get you out. One of the fastest way to resolve your negative thinking is to, put on a servant’s heart. T. E. YOUR FAITH IS PRICELESS

When your faith is under attack you are moving in the right direction. Did you know that? Why you ask; because it's valuable. If you only understood its value you would be excited and not give up; allowing it to move you up. Faith is always at work in use; however you must give your will over to it daily. If you want joy, peace, love or forgiveness; allow your faith to bring it to you because it's unseen but it’s there wanting to flow through you daily. When you hear the teaching of Jesus your faith is activated. What power you have in you. You would better appreciate your Pastor(s) and see their value. Going to Church to hear the message of faith would make you so happy because you know why you are there. I like that; going in happy coming out joyful. Your faith is priceless; understand it, guard it and ask God the Father for wisdom concerning it. Your faith can bring things to you and your faith can let things go; like unforgiving, worry and depression. You can let go of self-seeking, your cares and those problems you like to think about each day (I call it the dance of the faithless). Who needs self-pity? Not the children of God. Look at your faith, and ask it question(s). 1. Am I using you daily? 2. Are we pleasing God daily? 3. Do I understand how you work in me? 4. Are you growing in me? 5. Am I feeding on the Word of God daily to nourish you? 6. Do I care? 7. Can I trust it? These questions will help you to move on in your faith in see its value. God the Father will be pleased as you seek to move up and out in your faith. LAND ON THE ROCK

Love protects us and we all can trust in the love of God the Father. We can always land on the Rock if our wings rupture. The next time you see someone who's ill-mannered, unkind or foolish. Remember they are the handy creation of God the Father and they themselves are in pain and need to know they are loved by a love they could not possibly understand. Tell them -- Jesus (the Rock) has room for them and in him they can build and become wise. If it's raining, storming or beating winds, there is a message that was given in love to anyone who chooses to hear and practice it; Lord Jesus, thank you for sharing your wisdom. A TOUCH OF KINDNESS

Can you imagine if kindness ruled each heart on earth? We would all experience Heaven here on earth and what a beautiful thing to think on. What if each believer heart was kind here on earth and we could see the kindness they do(a light following each)? We would then know Heaven is coming. Kindness is a powerful gift given to us all and only can we give it away to ourselves and others. We must start first by being kind to ourselves daily and then we mature to be kind to others. I look to Heaven with great humility and receive God the Father's kindness. Thanking him for allowing me to be kind to me; that I may now pass his gift along. WHO OR WHAT HAVE YOUR I

Whatever your I die to (I am not talking about physical death.) becomes your God. E.g.: If your I die to dope it becomes your God and you're labeled as a drug addict. If it dies to alcohol it becomes your God and you're labeled as an alcoholic. If it dies to sex it becomes your God you're labeled as a whore-monger. If it dies to money it becomes your God you're labeled as greedy. If it dies to pride it becomes your God you're labeled as prideful. If it dies to unforgiving it becomes your God you're labeled as hard. If it dies to love it becomes your God and you're labeled as a child of God. I give my I to you God the Father in Jesus name, have your way. Who or what have you given your I to? WE GOT THE KEYS TO CHANGE THIS WORLD

We bind sickness, unforgiving hearts, and confusion and darken eye sights, hopelessness, pride and laziness also we bind folly and disobedience to your living word, and hate for humanity. We bind deceitfulness, gossiping and evil. Lord we bind words that hurt your leaders and children also wickedness in the Church. Lord Jesus we loosen your peace, love, joy and goodness, your prosperity also your wisdom, understanding and compassion for others. We loosen abundance in all good things we say/do and think. We loosen heavenly knowledge with the faith to move each mountain now/today. We loosen the power from your throne to be your ambassadors here on earth, removed for the power of sin by your blood Lord Jesus; we loosen the celebration of heaven here on earth of thanksgiving. We loosen and receive your generosity that we may bless others now/today. HIS PLAN IS ALWAYS PERFECT

God the Father has not called a husband or a wife to judge each other or to think for each other, but to walk humble before him each day in love and support each other loving him first. Marriage was created by God the Father and it is perfect. If they place the other before God; they will always have a discord in the relationship. God the Father gave marriages three big words for the relationship, love, respect, and forgiveness (LRF). His plan is always perfect. Our plans; well look at today's the divorce rate. CLUE IN ON YOUR FEELINGS

Your feelings are important; they are clues to what you think. Positive thinking you get positive feelings, and negative thinking you get negative feelings. Make a commitment today to turn those negative feelings around by faith. Your action depends on it. Bring about a positive outcome by always adding the Word of God daily to your thinking. Your thinking affects your heart (the feeling center) and your heart will influence your actions (good or bad). Dear hearts clue in because your feelings are important. SO YOU HAVE TRIBULATIONS OR DO YOU?

If all you do is look at your tribulations (problems), all you will see are your tribulations. Stop and think it out 1st. Need more money to pay your bills and you have a job. Think of the people who are unemployed with bills. Maybe all you need is a class on managing your finances and the problem solved. Now you have time to help someone get that job they so need, but if all you do is look at your tribulations, you truly walk by yourself. The great man Job looked at his tribulations but for a moment then understood after a conversation with God as to how God saw his problems. GOD WILL FIX IT FOR YOU

Whatever you are experiencing in your life God will fix it for you. Missing a love one, feeling low, sad, depressed or confused over their departure, our God will fix it. Ask Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego if God fixed it for them. He's the same God then and now, but you must do what they did. Trust that God knows what he is doing. Give God thanks for them; praise him for the gift because God loves to bless his children "It is our Father's good pleasure to bless us" God will give you favor, peace, power a new hope, joy and his faith to overcome and much more. SO LET THE REJOICING BEGIN

So let the rejoicing begin! Let's praise his Holy Name. If it is a new job, car, house or peace, maybe you need new customers/more customers or a new business idea.

Let it begin and let us praise his Holy Name. You may need God to reverse a bad decision; I'm standing with you in the name of Jesus, giving him his due Glory --- WITHOUT HESITATION!

Could it be restored faith in him or just another touch? Perhaps your vision is diminished, our God understands our needs beloved. Maybe you've been complaining of a wrongdoing, unjustifiably just a little too long?

Have covetousness try to get hold of you. Oh I've got good news you don't have to live that way. God made you so unique that no one is like you in heaven or earth. You don't have to compare, think or act like anyone else because you are not a robot.

You are a wonderful creation of God himself. Let's thank God for others, but desire not to be like them or want what they have. Our mission is not of this world, but to influence this world by imitating our Lord and Savior Jesus daily with our lives.

Rejoice in the blessings of others and God will bless you...

How will Jesus find you when He comes back?
Will He find you full of his word or will He find you full of the world?

WHAT IS TRUE POWER

We can say we are Christian, we can believe we are Christian and no one can take that away from us, however, if we are walking in anger our testimony or witness is irrelevant.

At the core of anger is selfishness, the very thing Jesus came to destroy in those who are following him daily.

Jesus said in Luke 9:23:
Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me."

Big Key! Deny or withhold (your selfishness), to give up of your own will --- that is true POWER!

We are to laid down our selfish ways and become like the Master Jesus ~ showing self anger is a wittiness in itself and counterproductive, put down your anger and pick up love in follow the Master, and by the way it is not hard. It is just wise.

EYES OF LOVE CAME

I need not to carry grief and sorrows because, it was God’s Will that his one only Son free me from the power of darkness.

The unexplainable love of God the Father giving up Love for a time, by sowing Love that I may come to him by the blood of Love.

That I may converse with the Father of Heaven and Earth, Jesus bears the wounds of my misbehavior.

Jesus was hurt for my sins and punished for my peace.

My healing came by the strips to his body. Love came for you and me.

To understand the unexplainable; maybe we need to put on the eyes of love.

FIT JUST RIGHT

It is good to be alive and to know the greatness of God's faithfulness. Understanding is vital and seeking your way only will lead to more question than answers, however, questions are good (we all have them).

So when you get to the end of that road of individual understanding, understand this --- there is so much more and you have the right to it.

It's not someone’s opinion, feeling or choice, but with understanding brings truth.

The answers are easy to understand, however, it requires your seeking or should I say searching?

Like: After all the wrong I’ve done, can God still forgive me?
Wait until you find the answer to that question.
Can I come to God just as I am?
You will love this answer.

I can go on and on, but you have your own questions. Don’t give up. The answers are all in there. Now why do you think it’s called the bread of life?

Well Jesus said it best: “Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

FORGIVING IS A MIRACLE

Selah, because God gave us the ability to forgive is a miracle, he is allowing us to release miracles by the name of his one and only Son Jesus.

Someone said: "It is so hard for me to forgive them."
My answer is: you are right, when you are doing it because you still believe forgiving is a feeling makes it hard for you to do so.

It is not a feeling; it is a choice, and that choice will release miracles in your life and the life of the receiver.

That is what happens to us when we asked Jesus to forgive us and he did, we received the miracle of forgiveness in our lives.

Oh yes the keys are in your hands or the choice is in your hands. I like to think when I choose God ways of forgiving. It places a smile on his face.

God loves to smile, he takes pleasure in us. "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18

Be a red-sea for someone today!

YOU ARE LIKE A TREE PLANTED

The God of heaven and earth dwells in the deepest parts of you always. His joy spills over from you to others daily. You are vessels of righteousness and goodness by the power of Jesus‘ saving blood, grace and mercy.

Your hands, knees and mouths are constructed for his purposes. You stand not in folly, but in the wisdom streaming from the Most-Highest. God's book is now your book and nothing can replace your hunger for the Bread of Life.

I stand and call you, brothers and sisters of the faith, as we call meekness friend. Only the love of Jesus is true love, imparted into your lives to share with those who need to see the love of God in action.

So with joy I say, stay on your knees, worship with your mouths and allow your hands to touch the hurting and because our God is a good God who gave each of us His Cross, the message of love spills on this earth through our vessels. You are like a tree planted by God.

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” Psalm 1:3

TAKE FLIGHT AGAIN

Airplanes can't stay in the air always, soaring is important and landing is just important, both will teach us, if we are willing to learn.

All we have is now to gain more wisdom. Come in for a landing and let the pass go because you will take flight again.

PAINT LOVE ON YOUR HEART

Your salvation is not counted by years. Your salvation is about the heart, your heart and in that are years filled with the love for God the Father, his Son, Holy Spirit and people.

Paint love on your heart of patient, kindness and hope; things that don't fail and others will profit each day, week and year from your salvation journey.

I don't care if you've been saved for 100 years, if you have not loved ~ it profits nothing
(see:1 Cor 13).

It will not fail you to walk in love, give your heart to God he is painting something wonderful on it...Selah!

CRAVING HIS PRESENCE

God the Father has transformed my heart by his precious Holy Spirit, as his mercy and grace encompass my heart.

My heart’s desire is to never intentionally harm, hurt, judge or condemn his children, that I may comprehend God’s love for all humanity, because my transformation was totally designed by the Father’s heart.

No hate has roomed, and to my discovery the Father’s love and peace has taken residence in this transformation.

I am seeking daily his wisdom and understanding as I humbly submit day by day my will to follow His love. I rejoice knowing that this is possible for whoever craves his presence daily.

I thank God the Father in the name of Jesus the Christ for He is omnipresent. This is love and if you don’t believe you are important to God the Father --- think again!

We cannot hide from the presence of God he watches over all of us the good and the bad. He is a true Father (a real Father), as we earthly father's watch over our children.

God's loving eyes look over us all. He is an omnipresent God; His word the Bible states:“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.” (Psalm 139:7-10)

Can't you just feel his love after reading that? God is just with us all the time. In your joy and in your pain, he is an omnipresent God.

Let's read more "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good." Prov 15:3

God is with us, just say Hello daddy I love you too!

MY GOD MY GOD

God is doing a work in us all by his Spirit. For you that are hurting here is a little wisdom.

Do not seek 1st why the pain came or who caused the pain that is not important at this moment. 1st things 1st ~ seek your healing 1st.

Let's look at this in the natural 1st:
You have broken your leg while riding on a motorcycle; you are on the ground in a lot of pain.

Good people take you to the hospital and you receive the care you need because of science.
You get some relief from your pain. Now you ask that question, what happened?

Let's look at this in the Spirit:
You have been broken because of sin and you are in a lot of pain and you feel as if you are on the ground.

God's people minister to you and takes you to their healer and you receive care because of Jesus's death on the cross. You get some relief from your pain. Now you ask the question, what happened?

MY BIBLE TEACHES ME

To my beloved Selah,
I ordered a large unsweetened tea lemonade thinking about God's love for us all at that moment. I’m not moved by my situations, circumstances or conditions. My feelings will not move me. Love, faith and obedience to the will of God is my mission.

My Bible teaches me in Colossians 3:14 that I can put on love. When love starts working in the heart of a man, hold on for the ride.

Our faith can’t work without love it's what my Bible teaches in Galatians 5:6, and if we love God we will obey him my Bible also teaches in John 14:15

1) Colossians 3:14: "And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity"
2) Galatians 5:6: "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love"
3) John 14:15: "If you love me, you will obey what I command."

WE NEED HEALERS OF THE FAITH:

Selah, we must love people past their hurt/pain. Our love for the capture soul aids in their deliverance. Allow the love of God to use you today.

The Word Of God States: "No one can come to me (Jesus is talking) unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.”John 6:44

My Tea is ice-cold on this lovely day (smile); to be bound into that hurt/pain not one more day. We have a great and powerful God & King. We can help with people healing/deliverance or we can hinder it if we walk away.

According to His Word: “And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. “ 1 Corinthians 12:28 The gifts he gave so that healing would come to a hurting people. God the Father always knows what we are need of in the body!
To be bound no more, let the gifts of healing come forth in the name of Jesus.

HONOR/RESPECT

In this analogy I will use the U.S. President as an example. The U.S. President holds the position of authority established by God the Father, who is source of all power in Heaven and Earth. The Bible say when we Honor him (U.S. President) we Honor God himself.

Respect comes out of Honor, when we respect the U.S. President, because he is God's governing authority here on earth, we show our respect to God the Father. Equally for our parents; when we Honor our parents, we Honor God the father, which shows respect for them all.

We may not agree with every decision they make (President and Parents), that does not grant us the right to dishonor them. We do not choose our parents, and some do not choose the U.S. President, but we all can Honor/Respect them all. See Romans 13:1+

HOW CAN I FORGIVE

Greetings,
The beautiful people of Selah & Co.: we are going to need some ice tea today it’s hot (love it)!

Beloved the role of a Judge is to condemn and judge sin.
A Judge must be faultless/perfect enabling him to judge fairly.
People cannot Judge people's sin because they are imperfect which disqualifies them from the office of a Judge.

To condemn people is to blame them for their sins and a sinner cannot blame another sinner for sins.
This is the job of the Judge; however people (sinners) play a major role.

One of the most important roles, and that is the role of the forgiver of sin, because who better understands sin, people!

Judge Jesus asked us to forgive/pardon or excuse sin, so we would be forgiven/pardon or excused of our sins from God the Father.

Please work on forgiving today.

Is Jesus asking us to work with him, and not against him? Selah!

HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY TO ME

Selah, prayer changes things, we at Selah & Co. are rejoicing with our dear friend and brother as he celebrates nine wonderful years on 16 May 2011 after undergoing kidney transplant surgery.

Mr. Darron Mayes (D) is a dear personal friend, coworker. We have seen some low days as well as some amazing days under the sun.

He is a husband, father and son who love his family and friends. D loves to travel, and is an astonishing bowler who holds the big 300 ring.

Selah do not get him talking about sports because if you do you will understand swiftly. It's all about those Skins! Darron loves his Washington Redskins, and the Lakers.

Selah help me and Darron to give God the Father, and his Son Jesus the Christ all the Glory and honor due their name.

Darron truly knows the power of prayer, and having people praying for you daily. As Mr. Mayes will point out to you, he is not perfect but he knows the perfect God.


You may be going through a health trial currently; Mr. Mayes and I would like to encourage you not to give up on prayer, and with following your doctor's advice, trust in God for your total healing.

I call him D! D, please understand how much you are loved, respected and appreciated. I rejoice with you and give God all the praises due his name for your healing, and recovery.

HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY to you my brother and as you prayed; "Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you to thank you for your precious gift of a 2nd chance at life. It was nine years ago today that I successfully underwent kidney transplant surgery.

I know you had control over everything in the operating room, and ensured my safety, speedy recovery, and have guided my steps to keep me from harm's way and suffering any setbacks."

To my earthy dad thanks for being there, and being my donor, I love you Pop!

HELLO FEAR

Hello Selah,
It was the reason why we sang. It was timely, and a major bridge of hope for us who were being transformed from the world system of music into the Gospel system of music.

It was urban, and I (Terence) could understand all the words from the young choir.
Questions were answered the summer of 1993, and the world knew why we sang when the CD was finished.

Oh, yes. We were happy to sing because we adored, and loved the Lord Jesus Christ as we do to this very moment.

As a fan (Terence) of my Brother, Minister, and friend Kirk Franklin he's done it again. If for any reason you have not heard his latest CD, I (Terence) encourage you to invest into your salvation by purchasing “Hello Fear.”

It can’t be! This Gospel Spiritual Masterpiece has replaced his 1st CD, "Why I Sing" in my CD holder. That’s how good this new CD is (in my opinion).

ONE WORD REGINALD

SELAH be blessed; relax with your favorite beverage and enjoy.

Sunday October 10, 2010 founders of Ask Seek Knock (A.S.K) Outreach; Reginald and Debra Giles were led by the Holy Spirit of God to visit a hotel in South Charlotte.

While there they saw numerous families in great need of help. These families had taken up resident at the hotel, and were struggling to make ends meet.

Reginald and Debra have seven children of their own, so they knew exactly what these families were facing.

The Giles’s struggled to raise their children, while also helping many other people as they could (their giving did not stop there).

In that moment on October 10th, they knew they had to be the change --- the change they want to see in the world.

Right away the Giles’s began to make plans to help these families, anyway they could, but having no idea how (the Giles’s knew it had to happen).

Pondering what road to take to get these families what they need or even how to get started were the two questions?

That same night God began to work. Reginald preparing for bed; God spoke the word “KNOCK” to him. That one word opened up a whole wealth of thoughts in Reginald.

From that seed-word (KNOCK), birth the name of the organization Ask Seek Knock (A.S.K.) Outreach INC.

The following day, God also began to place people into the Giles’s lives who are able to help them put things in place for the families.

Right away Reginald and Debra were able to provide food and clothing for the urgent needs of these families.
• Clothing would enable these families to seek employment.
• Employment was the key to helping the families get back on their feet.

As time goes on, more opportunities are coming up that would help families in need.

God has allowed Reginald and Debra to partner with R.A.W. Ministries Int. Pastor Thomas Ford. This ministry is also burdened with seeing Gods people delivered and set free from bondage.

Pastor Ford vision is to see:
• Families, who don’t have enough, have more than enough
• Lives change one person at a time by seeing them changed from the inside out.

RAW’S Pastor Ford believes in reaching out and serving the needs of Gods people.

Reginald and Debra are very proud to call this Ministry “Partner”!
They look forward to help and open as many doors for families in need.

STAND POINTING THE WAY

Sin cannot judge sin and we don’t possess the ability to remove any man’s sin(s).

Who are the greedy that talks about the lustful? Point the way!
Who are the slothful that talks about the gluttonies? Point the way!
Who are the envy that talks about the prideful? Point the way!

Was it you who came down?
Was it you who created the plan?
Or - like me; did you look like filthy rags?

We can hurt people still or point the way,
or be angry and play silly unfruitful games.

Those who are hurting, depressed, unhappy or unloved, we judge you not!
We are not crazy, just filled with God’s love. It was dark, miserable at times too low. We do understand and feel your pain, we know, because we gave ours away.

We stand before you pointing the way.

Your Minister Needs You

Selah, please support your Minister when he or she is teaching the truth from the Word of God. You may never understand the pressure, they are under, and they are called to transfer the knowledge, wisdom and revelation from God's Word.

Start by praying for them daily. Remember God watches over his Word. God wants you, his children, to be fed correctly.

If you have children, I want you to think on that. You are concerned about your children's diet.

There are many motives for teaching the Word of God, however God is clear on its purpose. The truth of God's Word is not to be suppressed, but delivered in truth, to you his children.

So remember your Minister, encourage them to teach the truths of God's Word always.

Let them know that you are standing with them, praying for them and willing to grow each day in the Word of God. If you do, you will grow, they will grow and our Father will be pleased.

SELAH IS CELEBRATING 100 BLOG POSTS

SELAH,
It’s summertime, and the living is easy. Is it really? These words from a popular song often lull us into the anticipation of lazy days, vacations, and roller coasters. Visions of the beach sipping iced tea beckon -- all under a blazing, hot sun. The reality is that trials and tribulations know no season.

Thinking about getting away from it all? Maybe you have made vacations plans for a dreamy destination or have you already returned? Whatever the case, sometimes we can find ourselves yearning to escape the daily routine of our lives if only for a few minutes. It’s taken me a few years to realize that those who plan frequent, regular escapes are among the healthiest. You say you have no time for escape? Read on…

Did you know that this blog’s title, Selah, actually means an interlude (pause) in vocal music, or a pianissimo of all parts? Selah can also be compared to “resting places”. Selah is also a derivative of Selaham, which was a place the Bible defines as a “rock of escape.”

When we take time to meditate on God’s word, it gives us a refreshing pause that renews our spirit. Selah is found many times throughout the Book of Psalms.

When David was fleeing from King Saul who wanted to kill him, he ended up in the wilderness of Maon, a rocky stronghold.

Have you ever been in the wilderness? Was it a problem that continued to overwhelm you in spite of your best efforts? Or is it a financial burden that keeps you up at night? When circumstances of our lives crowd in like weeds, we can begin to feel as if we are walking in a desert with no water in sight.

It is my hope that you will find a refreshing pause from your daily routine and the problems that vex you in reading scripture. May it spur you on to explore and meditate on some of the wonderful passages found in the Book of Psalms. May you find a restful “escape” today. Some of my favorite “resting places” can be found in Psalms, 21, 26, 37, 91, 92, 103 and 139.

Selah, don't miss the Mark! This is a spiritual battle we all are in. It is futile to use fleshly insight to do spiritual warfare. Fear is not one of your weapons. Fear only punishes, it does not deliver. Fear will not make you free from your sins because it is not God's Spirit. Oh but Christ (the anointed one) only can make you free. God sent you Jesus who gave you the Word of God. If you want to be free from your sins, stay in your Bible and watch your shackles/yoke vanish. Ask God to fill you with his love each day, and thank him for your new gift.

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."

OUR MOMENT

Selah greetings, Our Moment is my latest poem dedicated to You!

With my eyes filled with tears, I’m sitting in my pillow covered chair.
Looking off into the distance, stillness has claimed my soul.
A moment of tranquility reminding me of your plan.
Thinking how compelling it is to witness each tree stand.
I was planning on reading this book while having this glass of low calorie ice cold tea.

Wondering in the back of my brain ‘what’s for dinner’. If I move before the sun goes down like the ice in my tea --- I can’t blink my eyes of this gaze --- I won’t move, just one more moment to feel your grip, not a word, not a sound, just this tear slowly, calmly hanging around.

Pulling the blanket up as the sun diminishes and I say – Thank You!

JUST THINK TO GREATNESS

Selah, In 1984 I was a young manager and gained a life lesson that would change how I viewed my critics forever. They became a source tool of information for me and I invite their information with enthusiasm. Your critics may be one of your best resources. Please don't be so inflexible that you miss your blessings. Things don't always seem as they appear, and trusting in your thinking only, can lead down a deadly and unfruitful road. Even your critics have taken the time to observe you to some degree.

God has a way of using this information to bless you (provided
by your critics). However, you could miss a blessing or a Word of insight being too --- as the elders said --- set in your ways.

So be wise, by allowing God to use all to work on your blessings and miracles, even things you may not understand. “Whoever stubbornly refuses to accept criticism will suddenly be destroyed beyond recovery.” Proverbs 29:1

THE DANCE OF JOY

God is in the turnaround business; that thing came to (what) pass by, get ready to dance, and make room for more joy. You all have angels orbiting around you at this very moment. So; “Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors that the King (Ps 24:9) of glory may come in.” Let his Glory into your situation, because, king David said “You turned my wailing into dancing; (Ps 30:11) you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,”

Hey when you just don’t get it, God do! "You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." (Psalm 16:11)

Evil maybe on the rise, but God's grace abounds that much more, it all about Souls anyway. Y'all let’s do this; you got the green light! But officer I was just trying to tell them about Jesus; by the way do you know the Lord Sir (Smile)?

What! You said in the Latter Days All Flesh! Remembering what God said (not men only), ALL FLESH! He is pouring his Spirit on. That means – You (Green light Selah)!

I HAVE NOT ONE STONES

God is the God of us all (the Just and the unjust). We all are his creations, and we know: “that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

As the Word of God affirms; God said in Jeremiah 32:27
"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Before we judge one soul remember, you are judging what God has done.

God’s Ambassador asked that we do not, because, I AM knows all, yes our hidden sins.

Help me Jesus; the Ambassador of peace, love and forgiveness.
You are the Word of God, and my stones are placed at your feet.

Daily ask yourself this question: Today who will I stone with my mouth and pen?

Lord I (Terence) has not one stone to throw at your workmanship. Not one!
Only my love I give to you all on this new day.

STAND TALL

God is bigger than our complaining, our excuses, our blaming and our procrastination.

He’s bigger than our judgmental attitudes, our lack of compassion, our immature and unforgiving way.

He’s bigger than our unfruitful growth, our inflexibilities, our laziness and prideful ways. He’s bigger than our disobedience, our lack of wisdom and understanding of his ways, our greed and lack of faith in his abilities to father us.

God is bigger than our disappointments, our pain, our relationships and sins.

David, Goliath, Saul and Kings.

He’s bigger than presidents, priests, queens and lords. God is bigger than you and me. Totally one at the same time three.

God is bigger than everything.

Wanting nothing and having everything. Your Heart rests in the hands of the King.

Stand tall, God our father is bigger than everything!

GRACE IT IS AMAZING!

Selah, God accepts you as you are, with no conditions. Why do you place conditions on loving him?
What if things were fair? God’s love for you is unconditional, and your love for him is without conditions. I speculate all excuses would vanish, and the buts would be eliminated. Blaming people would be replaced with grace, because it’s that amazing!
