THE HEART OF A POEM

Sehal & Co. is filled with excitement over a young Poet and pause to highlight an original creation. She is talented with the ability to allow her readers to visualize the deep-rooted moment by the written words, which we call poetry.

First Cassandra is; a loving and dedicated, Sister, Aunt, Girlfriend and Mother figure. She is an extremely busy and intelligent young lady with a full time job who also graduated at the top of her class (4.0 GPA) from college, besides she loves to hit gym five days a week. Miss Fonseca with all her success, digested a bitter pill at the passing of her Beloved Mother --- which is at the heart of this Poem, her mother is and will always be her KEEPSAKE.

Sehal; please enjoy the poem of Miss Cassandra Fonseca.

KEEPSAKE

I wish Heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again
I thought of you today, but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name
All I have are memories and a picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake, from which I’ll never part
God has you in his arms --- I have you in my heart.

I went to Borders Book Store this weekend, purely by chance, and was treated to a poetry reading... not sure that's what it's called... and also heard someone refer to a poet who spoke his/her piece, saying they "spit". All of that was rolled together with the words that I heard one of them say regarding the words of their oration... Poetry is the internal beauty of the person who speaks it and until you hear it you cannot know what they look like. It even reminded me of the movie Avatar when they say "I See You!" ~ Wm

This poem is such a blessing to those who have lost their mothers. The part about 'heaven had a phone' so the young lady could hear her mother's voice once again could have only come as an inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

Thank You,
Renise
